Our History

The idea for consulting services for healthcare institutions was born in 2016 at the University Hospital of Cologne.
Supported by Prof. Dr. Michael Hallek, Prof. Dr. Florian Kron, then commercial director of the Clinic I for Internal Medicine, developed a medical-economic consulting and training service in the fields of hematology, oncology, and infectiology for companies in the healthcare sector. In 2017, the Healthcare Consulting Cologne (HCC) was officially founded as a 100% subsidiary of the University Hospital of Cologne.
The spin-off of the VITIS Healthcare Group from the University Hospital of Cologne took place in the fall of 2020. Since then, the company has grown steadily, expanding its product portfolio and increasing the number of annual projects. Despite the geographical separation, VITIS Healthcare Group continues to work closely with medical experts from the University Hospital of Cologne and the Center for Integrated Oncology Cologne (CIO Cologne). Collaborations with other university hospitals, private practices, and medical care centers are also playing an increasingly important role.
